Luan is ruled out for approximately 12 weeks following an inguinal hernioplasty and adductor longus tendon reconstruction, the club reported Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Luan only played one league game in the second half of 2025, as his injury became increasingly complicated. The center-back was a regular starter at the end of the previous season and in the Leagues Cup, playing an impactful role in both boxes. While his absence for the rest of the tournament will hurt the reigning Liga MX champions' defensive potential, they should continue to rely on Federico Pereira and Bruno Mendez, and occasionally on Antonio Briseno or Everardo Lopez.
