2025 Fantasy Outlook
After setting the rookie record for receiving yards, Nacua was even more productive on a per-game basis in his second pro season, averaging 7.2 catches for 90.0 yards even though a knee injury cost him five games and limited his snaps in three others. His 2024 average of 3.7 yards per route run was a league high, well above his 2.7 YPRR (8th) in 2023. Nacua is one of the strongest and most physical wide receivers in the league, with his ability to break tackles and win contested catches more than making up for average speed. He's a perfect fit in Sean McVay's offense, although the competition for targets got slightly tougher this offseason when the Rams swapped out a post-prime Cooper Kupp for a post-prime Davante Adams. It's otherwise a fantastic situation, as the team lacks secondary receivers that demand considerable target shares and still has QB Matthew Stafford playing at a reasonably high level. The two drawbacks are a sketchy injury history dating back to college and a lack of touchdowns (nine on 184 career receptions), but there are only a handful of WRs that project for similar quantities of catches and yards per game. Nacua finished with nine receptions on 11 targets for 181 yards while adding two carries for eight yards in Sunday's 41-24 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Nacua set a new high-water mark for receiving yards in a single game this season just one week after missing his previous mark (170) by three yards against the Cardinals. The budding superstar was balling out so hard against the Lions that he was forced to leave the contest in the fourth quarter due to cramping. Nacua's fantasy managers can exhale knowing that he promptly returned to the field in order to finish off one of the top individual performances in Week 15. The same could not be said for teammate Davante Adams (hamstring), who was forced out of the win with the same injury that had been nagging him in recent weeks. With a short turnaround in Week 16, it wouldn't be surprising if Adams misses Thursday's tilt against the Seahawks. That scenario would lead to Nacua seeing heavy usage while operating as Matthew Stafford's top target in a crucial matchup within the NFC West.

Nacua came into the NFL as a fifth-round pick and had nearly as many receiving yards (1,486) in his rookie season as in all four years of his college career combined (1,749). It helped that he played all 17 games, after averaging eight between his time at Washington and BYU. It also helped to have QB Matthew Stafford and HC Sean McVay on his side, and WR Cooper Kupp's hamstring injury in September contributed to Nacua drawing 52 targets over his first four games. After that, Nacua averaged 5.2 catches for 78.7 yards on 8.6 targets in the 12 games both he and Kupp played, continuing to flirt with fantasy WR1 status. Kupp averaged 4.9 catches for 61.4 yards on 7.9 targets in those same 12 games, and it was Nacua who exploded for 9-181-1 in a wild-card loss to the Lions, setting a single-game rookie receiving record for the playoffs (after breaking the season-long record a week earlier). Nacua did most of his damage on short and intermediate passes, but he was efficient with his deep chances as well, catching 10 of 17 targets 20-plus yards downfield. He looked a step quicker than his 4.57 40 time suggests, though it was his strength, toughness and agility that really stood out while he recorded the fourth most yards after catch (689, 6.4 average) among WRs. Kupp has already shown that a receiver can post huge numbers under McVay/Stafford without top-notch athletic traits, and Nacua appears to be the new No. 1 in an efficient offense that's heavily concentrated among its star players.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Extension a priority for Rams
Nacua is eligible to sign a contract extension in the offseason, and he should get an offer from the Rams that would make him one of the highest-pair wide receivers in the league, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase is currently the top of the market at $40.25 million a season, while the Vikings' Justin Jefferson is making $35 million a season. An extension for Nacua seems likely to fall between those figures, although it's possible he'll look to exceed Chase's annual average value. Injuries are about the only blemish on Nacua's resume through his first three NFL campaigns, and he's averaging 118.5 catches for 1,593.4 yards with 6.2 touchdowns per 17 games so far for the Rams.
