2025 Fantasy Outlook
It's not common to say that a 30-year-old edge rusher had a career year, particularly one with the pedigree of Williams. That's arguably what we got from Williams, however, and his alignment along the defensive line in coach Mike Macdonald's defensive scheme provides a pretty clear explanation. Williams lined up along the interior of the offensive line for only 349 snaps, the second-lowest rate of his career and lowest since 2020. That gave him more opportunities over tackle and even outside tackle, allowing him to make the most of his pass-rushing snaps. Where Williams' true step forward may have come was as a run defender. He logged the most overall tackles and tackles for loss of his career. Seattle continues to bolster its edge and outside linebacker positions, but Williams should remain the leader of the group in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Hits double-digit sacks again
Williams recorded 64 tackles (37 solo), including 11.0 sacks, and three pass defenses, including a pick-six, across 16 games during the 2024 season.
ANALYSIS
Williams didn't slow down in his age-30 season, as he put up double-digit sacks for the first time since the 2020 season while adding his first career pick-six -- a 92-yard return. Having signed a three-year deal with the Seahawks in March of 2024, Williams has two years remaining on his contract. As it stands, he'll carry a $29.15 million cap hit in 2025.

Williams was dealt mid-season from the Giants to the Seahawks. The shift seemed to energize him, as he managed 41 total tackles and four sacks in 10 games. Simply pro-rating that production would be a mistake, but his role with his new team gives reason for optimism. Williams was primarily deployed as a pass-rush specialist while with the Giants, but the Seahawks used him nearly equally as both a pass rusher and run defender. Over a larger sample, that shift could cause him to lose some production as a pass rusher, but it should be offset by additional tackle volume setting him up for well-rounded production in 2024.
