St-Juste signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Chargers early in the offseason and should compete for one of the starting boundary corner spots entering 2025. St-Juste was a three-year starter during his time with Washington, but he was one of the least efficient corners in terms of generating turnovers (just one career interception) and was frequently picked on in the short and intermediate passing game. He'll aim to revitalize his career in the way Kristian Fulton did in his lone season with the Bolts last year. Read Past Outlooks

St-Juste agreed to terms on a contract with the Chargers on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
				ANALYSIS
St-Juste managed to accrue a season-high 71 combined tackles across 17 regular-season games in 2024 with the Commanders. However, he lost his hold on the starting outside corner job following Washington's Week 14 bye due to his struggles in coverage, and he didn't play more than 10 defensive snaps in each of the Commanders' three playoff games. A fresh start with the Chargers could help St-Juste reinvigorate his game, though he's projected to serve in a reserve role at outside corner behind Donte Jackson and Tarheeb Still.

How do Benjamin St-Juste's measurables compare to other cornerbacks?

This section compares his draft workout metrics with players at the same position. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that metric and it would be considered average.

A 2021 third-round pick, St-Juste mostly came off the bench as a rookie before starting all 12 of his games in 2022 and all 16 in 2023. His 17 pass defenses last season were fourth most in the league, and he also had 67 tackles, two forced fumbles, an interception and a sack, providing solid IDP production for a corner. Meanwhile, St-Juste allowed a league-high 779 yards into his coverage, with QBs preferring to pick on him or rookie Emmanuel Forbes rather than Kendall Fuller. With Fuller now gone, St-Juste is locked in as a starter but probably won't quite see as many passes in his direction.
