Believed to have sprain
Knight (ankle) is set for an MRI after being carted off the field during Sunday's 40-20 loss to Houston, but he's believed to be dealing with a sprain, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Knight appears to have avoided a severe injury, with league sources telling Schefter that the running back is nursing "a bad sprain," but that could still notably impact his availability for the last three weeks of the regular season. Emari Demercado and Michael Carter will be positioned as Arizona's clear backfield leaders if Knight misses any time, with James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) both already having been lost for the year. Knight's first opportunity to attempt to prove he's healthy enough to play Week 16 against the Falcons will come during Wednesday's practice.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Knight spent most of 2022 on the Jets' practice squad until injuries paved the way for the undrafted rookie out of North Carolina State to debut in Week 12. The man known as "Bam" came in with a bang, topping 100 scrimmage yards in each of his first two NFL appearances before adding 77 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in his third game. Knight ran out of gas after that, mustering just 70 rushing yards on 39 carries over his final four games. New York hopes to have starter Breece Hall back from ACL surgery by Week 1, signed Dalvin Cook in August and drafted running back Israel Abanikanda in the fifth round to go with 2021 fourth-round pick Michael Carter, so Knight could be relegated back to the practice squad unless the Jets opt to roster five running backs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely lead back for rest of 2025
Knight is poised to operate as the top option in Arizona's backfield on early downs for the remainder of the 2025 season, as Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports that Trey Benson will spend the remainder of the 2025 season on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Arizona's 21-day window to activate Benson has come and gone. With Benson out of the mix, the Cardinals will continue to lean on Knight, Emari Demercado and Michael Carter at running back. Both Demercado and Carter profile as shifty change-of-pace options who can contribute in passing situations, while the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Knight has the frame to take on larger rushing workloads, having notched double-digit touches in seven of the past eight games. Demercado has missed the last three games due to an ankle injury.
