Nelson (undisclosed) is out for Wednesday's match against Manchester City but is nearing a return, according to manager Keith Andrews. "Reiss won't make this one. We've pushed him as much as we can. He's not too far off, but tomorrow comes a bit too soon, unfortunately. There definitely hasn't been a setback, it was just a case of whether we felt it was right. We looked at his training loads and where he was at, and we felt it would have been a bit of a risk. We want to get him back and keep him back. He's working hard behind the scenes, so he shouldn't be too much longer."

Nelson is still not an option as he works his back from an undisclosed injury, needing another few days to recover from the issues, and out for their Carabao Cup match. This will extend his absence to four games, although it is still a minor absence for the club. Once fit, he will likely return to a role on the bench.
