Meijer suffered a quadriceps injury during the clash against Royal Antwerp and is expected to miss at least five weeks to recover, the club announced.

Meijer will likely miss the next two fixtures in the Champions League against Barcelona and Sporting CP after suffering a quadriceps injury that is expected to sideline him for at least five weeks. The left-back started two of his three appearances this season for Brugge in the competition, meaning a change will have to be made in the backline, with Joaquin Seys as the main option to step in, even though Hugo Siquet could play a role as well.
