Carcone agreed to a one-year contract to stay with the Mammoth in the summer after becoming an unrestricted free agent. He had seven goals, 12 assists, 75 shots on net and 48 hits across 53 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Most of his absences from the lineup were as a healthy scratch, and he won't be a lock for consistent playing time in the 2025-26 campaign. Still, he could be an option to move up the depth chart if injuries occur, and he has been a capable point producer in bunches over the last two years. Carcone is up to six goals and 12 points across 32 games in 2025-26, but as a bottom-six forward, he shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy upside in most formats -- especially since he may not stick on the second power-play unit.

Although Carcone had a taste of NHL action previously, the 2023-24 campaign was his first season as a regular. He was 27 at the start of that season (he's 28 now), so he's a late bloomer, but Carcone turned some heads by scoring 21 goals and 29 points in 74 contests with Arizona despite averaging just 11:16 of ice time. Of those who averaged under 12 minutes last season, the next best scorer was Alexander Holtz at 16 goals and 28 points. However, Carcone had a shooting percentage of 18.9, which is unlikely to be replicated. It would consequently be best to pencil him in for closer to 10-15 goals and around 20 points.
