                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Schwartz finished the season on the Kraken’s top line after he put together his best season in a Seattle sweater. The 32-year-old’s 49 points (26 goals, 23 assists) were his most in a season since he produced 57 points with the Blues in 2019-20. Not so coincidentally, it coincided with one of his healthiest seasons in the NHL, as he played in all but one game in the 2024-25 season. Health has been the four-year Kraken’s biggest issue throughout his 14-year NHL career -- this is only his sixth season playing over 70 games and just his second playing over 80 games. A healthy Schwartz playing top-line, top-power-play minutes can rack up 50 points, but that’s been a weighted coin flip to the negative side in the skilled winger’s career. Three points in win Thursday
Schwartz scored two goals, including an empty-netter, and registered an assist in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Jets.
				  ANALYSIS
Schwartz delivered his first multi-point effort of the 2025-26 campaign. He opened the scoring with a wrister just 2:28 into the second period and later doubled Seattle's lead with an empty-netter at 18:20 of the third frame. Schwartz would also set up Seattle's second empty-netter, courtesy of Jordan Eberle. The 33-year-old Schwartz is now up to eight points (four goals, four helpers) on eight games this season.

Schwartz again missed significant time due to injuries in 2023-24, and he was limited to 30 points in 62 contests. He's missed at least 10 games in each of the last four campaigns, which has likely prevented him from getting back to the 50-point mark in that span. The good news is the winger still has his touch on the power play -- 10 of his 30 points last year came with the man advantage. The Kraken are due to bounce back after a poor campaign, and a healthy Schwartz could go a long way to making that happen. Look for the 32-year-old to fill a middle-six role and play at a 20-goal, 40-point pace if he can avoid injuries in 2024-25, making him a worthy late-round dart throw in most fantasy formats.
