2026 Fantasy Outlook
Lawrence stayed healthy all last season, capitalized on coach Liam Coen’s system and used his legs to post the most productive season of his five-year career -- good for a QB4 finish in fantasy. Most of his passing statistics were similar to those from his last healthy season in 2023, only this time he had 29 TD passes (eight more) and nine rushing scores (five more), both career highs. Those scores aren’t necessarily destined for major regression either. Lawrence's red-zone TD pass rate bounced back to near league average in 2025 after a well-below-average mark in 2023, and five of his rushing scores last season came on designed runs inside the 10-yard line. Lawrence also threw downfield more often than was expected in Coen’s screen-heavy offense, with 37.3 percent of his attempts traveling at least 10 yards, the fourth-highest rate in the league. Lawrence threw 15 TDs on those passes, and it would have been more if not for league-high marks in both total drops (36) and drops on passes thrown 10-plus yards downfield (18). The Jaguars didn’t really address their receivers this offseason, seemingly counting on internal improvement from Brian Thomas, Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers, while WR/CB Travis Hunter is expected to play more defense. They also lost running back Travis Etienne, replacing him with power runner Chris Rodriguez, who will share the backfield with Bhayshul Tuten. Neither has much experience catching passes. Nevertheless, Lawrence is a good bet for at least low-end QB1 production, with potential for much more than that if his goal-line rushing continues and his receivers cooperate. Read Past Outlooks

Working on downfield throws
An emphasis for Lawrence this offseason has been building chemistry with his wide receivers on downfield throws, Casandra Chesser of Jaguars Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
Chesser named Brian Thomas in particular as someone Lawrence is working to fortify his bond with in the deep passing game. Lawrence attempted the sixth-most passes of 20-plus air yards last regular season (590), but he completed just 36.1 percent of such throws, checking in at 25th among qualified quarterbacks. If he can take his deep passing game to another level, the Jacksonville offense would be even more lethal after the unit went nuclear down the stretch last regular season. From Weeks 9 to 18, the Jaguars averaged 32.8 points per game across 10 contests, and Lawrence had a sparkling 18:4 TD:INT mark across the final seven regular-season games. He has a chance to be in the MVP mix again in 2026 in his second season under coach Liam Coen.

Lawrence’s 2024 season was cut short by an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. In his full nine games, his fantasy output was on par with the previous year, which is to say, only borderline useful in 12-team leagues. Only twice did he exceed 20 fantasy points. Lawrence’s average target depth jumped to 9.3 yards (2nd) as a career-high 38 percent of his attempts traveled beyond 10 yards (4th). That helps explain why his on-target and completion percentages were three-year lows, with the latter (60.6 percent) being second to last in the league. He might not get as many downfield opportunities this year under new head coach Liam Coen, but the offense should at least be more efficient. With Coen as his OC last year in Tampa Bay, Baker Mayfield saw his average target depth drop to 6.8 yards with an emphasis on the screen game, yet he had career highs for YPT (7.9) and TD passes (41). WR Brian Thomas returns after a standout rookie season, and the Jaguars drafted two-way player Travis Hunter second overall, potentially giving Lawrence one of the top wideout duos in the league. Jacksonville also signed Dyami Brown after his huge playoff run last year with the Commanders, while failed 2024 free-agent addition Gabe Davis was released. The offensive line added C Robert Hainsey and G Patrick Mekari, but it’s still likely far behind what Coen had in Tampa Bay last year. That will make Coen’s task harder, but the overall situation should still be a big upgrade over what Lawrence dealt with last season.

Enjoys career-best offseason
Lawrence had the best offseason of his career this year after a strong finish to the 2025 campaign, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The keys to Lawrence thriving this spring were primarily stability and health, as the veteran signal-caller wasn't recovering from a surgery or learning a new offense as was the case in 2025. Head coach Liam Coen took notice of Lawrence's strong body of work during OTAs and minicamp, remarking the 2021 first overall pick looked a lot like he did during his impressive seven-game closing stretch of the 2025 regular season, when he threw 18 touchdowns while committing a modest five turnovers.
