2026 Fantasy Outlook
Acquired by trade from Jacksonville after Week 1 of last year in exchange for fifth- and sixth-round picks, Bigsby was able to secure the RB2 role behind Saquon Barkley despite the short notice. A lack of confidence in 2024 fourth-round pick Will Shipley may have precipitated the trade, creating a need for a power back like Bigsby on the depth chart. Bigsby is a rugged runner with some hints of big-play ability (six carries of 20 or more yards on his last 231 attempts), and in the event that a starting role opens up, Bigsby should have just enough heft and anchor to hold up in the role. Bigsby has shown next to nothing as a receiver in the NFL, on the other hand, so even if Barkley misses time, it might result in a timeshare between Bigsby and the more passing-down-oriented Shipley. RANKS
Appears locked in as RB2
Bigsby is expected to enter the 2026 season as the Eagles' primary backup behind Saquon Barkley, Glenn Erby of Eagles Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
Bigsby was acquired from the Jaguars prior to Week 2 last season, and he went on to rush for 344 yards and two touchdowns on 58 carries across 16 regular-season appearances for Philadelphia. His 5.9 yards per carry would have ranked first in the NFL if Bigsby had enough carries to qualify. Though the Eagles also currently employ Will Shipley, Dameon Pierce and Elijah Mitchell at running back, Bigsby appears set to be Barkley's clear No. 2 and someone who will be worth stashing on fantasy benches in the event of a Barkley injury.

Bigsby bounced back from his nightmarish 2023 rookie season with a competent showing in 2024, and, in doing so, established himself as a starting candidate for the Jaguars in 2025. That said, Bigsby's fantasy upside is limited by the likelihood he remains a no-go for passing downs. His 477 NFL snaps have yielded just eight receptions for 60 yards on 16 targets, and even as a pure runner, Bigsby is probably no better than average by starting-RB standards. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry last year, but his rushing production was heavily front-weighted -- 5.8 YPC in Weeks 1-8 (493 yards, four TDs) and 3.3 YPC from Week 9 on (273 yards, three TDs). Bigsby offers a power element that Travis Etienne cannot, but Etienne is better at everything else, and now they'll both have to hold off rookie fourth-round pick Bhayshul Tuten, who ran a 4.32 40 at 206 pounds.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Elevated role in Week 18?
Head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters Wednesday that the Eagles would be resting key starters for Sunday's game against the Commanders, which means Bigsby could get the starting nod in the backfield if Saquon Barkley is held out or operates on a snap count, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Eagles could still earn the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs with a win Sunday and a Bears loss to the Lions, but Sirianni is prioritizing rest over seeding as Philadelphia gears up for its Super Bowl defense. Bigsby turned 17 carries into 57 yards in the Eagles' 31-0 win over the Raiders in Week 15, with 13 of those touches coming in the fourth quarter. That's an indication of what the third-year running back's workload could look like for Sunday's regular-season finale if Barkley does not play, though Will Shipley and AJ Dillon would also be in line for backfield touches in Week 18.
