Heading into the 2023 campaign, Buechele will serve as an emergency option at quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes and Blaine Gabbert. The 25-year-old signal caller spent time on Kansas City's practice squad and active roster last season, but he did not see any action on the field. Buechele will likely fill a similar role in 2023.
