2026 Fantasy Outlook
Shaheed became the third player to log 18 appearances in a regular season, splitting his 2025 evenly between the Saints and Seahawks. In New Orleans, he was averaging career highs of 7.3 targets and 4.9 catches per game, but with career lows of 11.6 YPR and 7.5 YPT. Following a November trade, Shaheed sank to 3.0 targets per game (and 28.2 snaps on offense) in 12 appearances for Seattle, including the playoffs. He didn't score any touchdowns on offense, and caught just half of his targets (18 of 36 for 266 yards), making up for it with timely big plays, including a pair of TDs on special teams and a 51-yard catch in the NFC Championship Game. The Seahawks saw enough to re-sign Shaheed on a three-year, $51 million contract, presumably setting him up for a bigger impact on offense in 2026, though Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton may also compete for top-three roles at WR alongside target hog Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Bigger role in 2026?
Shaheed had a "major spring" in offseason programs and could have a larger role in the Seahawks' offense under coordinator Brian Fleury, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports
ANALYSIS
Fowler notes that the Seahawks' offense will utilize more motions and shifts under Fleury's scheme and that Shaheed should see more short-to-medium throws from Sam Darnold as a result. Shaheed and Darnold demonstrated a strong connection during spring practices, and it appears the former is in line for a larger role in the offense, perhaps leapfrogging Cooper Kupp as the team's WR2 behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

2023
Shaheed got off to a fast start in 2024, his third pro season, looking ready to challenge for his first 1,000-yard campaign until a Week 6 meniscus tear stopped him in his tracks. He caught only 20 of 41 targets pre-injury, but with career highs for yards per catch (17.5), aDOT (17.6) and targets per game (6.8). Shaheed's 15 targets of 20-plus yards were two more than any other receiver had at the time of his season-ending injury, and while he caught only three of those, all three went for touchdowns (of 70, 59 and 43 yards). He's one of the best undrafted players of recent years, having initially caught on with the Saints in 2022 as a return specialist before quickly becoming a downfield threat on offense. The only downside so far is that Shaheed's excellent work on returns hasn't translated into success catching short passes and gaining yards after the catch -- he has just 371 career receiving yards on targets within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. The timing of his injury should allow Shaheed to make a full recovery before training camp, at which point he'll be playing for a new coaching staff and will still have only concussion-prone Chris Olave as serious competition for targets. The problem, apart from Shaheed's lack of short-area production, is that the Saints are a candidate for worst-in-the-league QB play. Derek Carr's retirement may set up a summer job battle between second-round rookie Tyler Shough and 2024 fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential target for Raiders
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com expects the Raiders to pursue Shaheed in free agency.
ANALYSIS
New Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak worked with Shaheed down the stretch of the 2025 season as Seattle's offensive coordinator. The Raiders have plenty of cap space, and while bolstering the offensive line will likely be the team's top priority in free agency, Vegas should have enough money to make a run at Shaheed as well, which would add to the team's lengthy history of pursuing speedy receivers.
