2026 Fantasy Outlook
Love was limited to 15 games for the second consecutive year in 2025 and had a campaign similar to 2024, though he finished two spots higher in fantasy at QB15. If Love is to return to the QB5 ranking he posted in 2023, he needs more pass attempts and more rushing production. He averaged less than 30 passes per game in both 2024 and 2025, down from 34.1 per game in 2023 when he first took over the starting job. His rushing hasn’t been up to the task either, with one TD over the past two seasons (four in 2023). The Packers were top-five in rushing percentage each of the last two years, though coach Matt LaFleur hinted at a revamped offensive gameplan this offseason. Perhaps that means more for Love. Good health would help too, after wide receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson missed a combined 17 games and tight end Tucker Kraft tore an ACL in November. The Packers also return last year’s first-round pick WR Matthew Golden, who should have a bigger role after Romeo Doubs left in free agency. The offensive line struggled with injuries and linemen playing out of position last year, which hurt RB Josh Jacobs and made the offense inconsistent. But the Packers didn’t make major moves, hoping experience and a return to left tackle by 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan will do the trick. Love is a good downfield thrower with a career mark of 7.7 YPA, giving him more fantasy upside than most other pocket passers if he ever returns to his 2023 volume (579 pass attempts). Otherwise, he’s a reliable QB2. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Confident in young pass catchers
Love said Thursday that the Packers still "have some great weapons" after losing WRs Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks this offseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Love mentioned WRs Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden, adding that the pass-catching group will be back to full strength once TE Tucker Kraft (knee) is healthy. The Packers didn't do much to replace offseason losses, but they'll still have a strong core on both sides of the ball if Kraft and OLB Micah Parsons come back from ACL tears and perform at a high level. Love, meanwhile, seems to be healthy and staying busy this summer, working with his longtime private QB coach, Steve Calhoun, after the Packers wrapped up their offseason program in mid-June.

Love and the Packers' passing game regressed last season thanks to injuries and a new emphasis on the rushing attack. Love missed two weeks after suffering an MCL sprain Week 1, and he later suffered a groin injury Week 8 and an elbow injury Week 18. He finished with 83 rushing yards, down from 247 in 2023. The arrival of Josh Jacobs (301 carries) cost Love pass attempts as the Packers increased their rushing rate by nearly 10 percentage points over 2023, up to 51.2 percent (third-highest). Love at least was reasonably efficient, with 8.0 YPA ranking fifth, and he went deep plenty -- 14.4 percent of his attempts traveled 20-plus yards (2nd). But he lost about six attempts per game compared to 2023, and he won't necessarily get those back this season. The passing game, though, could be more explosive after adding WR Matthew Golden and his 4.29 speed with the 23rd overall pick of the draft. Golden may quickly prove to be an upgrade on fellow deep threat Christian Watson, who likely will miss a chunk of the season after suffering an ACL tear in January. The Packers' offensive line looks about average, but they have good depth at the skill positions with Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs at wide receiver -- joined by Golden and third-round pick Savion Williams -- and third-year pros Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave at tight end. Green Bay also has one of the league's better offensive minds in head coach Matt LaFleur, who has proven highly competent at adjusting his schemes and gameplans to fit his personnel. Love probably won't have enough rushing production or passing volume to be a regular starter in single-QB leagues, but he should throw enough touchdown passes to be a solid QB2.

Impressing in minicamp
Love, who's focusing on being more efficient when on the move this offseason, made a highlight touchdown throw to Jayden Reed from outside the pocket Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Love explained Wednesday he's been trying to be "as smooth and consistent as possible" with his feet in the pocket, noting he was aiming to not get too "antsy" and move through the pocket too fast. Love had a chance to put some of his improved technique on display during Wednesday's session, as Demovsky notes the veteran quarterback was flushed from the pocket, rolled to his left and then uncorked a 70-yard touchdown pass to Reed in stride down the opposite sideline.
