2026 Fantasy Outlook
Jones performed as expected in 2025 after signing a three-year extension to stick with the Seahawks long term. He appropriately led the team in both defensive snaps and tackles and remained an elite run defender. While there was some downturn in his tackle production, that was primarily attributable to missing around a game and a half due to a knee injury. That area of the game was status quo for Jones, though he managed to pick off five passes, rack up 150 return yards and find the end zone while working in coverage. That was an outlier, both from his career results and also because he was credited with only seven passes defensed, and it's safe to say he significantly overachieved in that phase of the game. However, that showing should be enough to guarantee he remains a full-time player heading into the 2026 season. Assuming health, Jones can be penciled in for around another 120 tackles. Piles up 11 stops

Jones made 11 tackles (10 solo) in Sunday's 29-13 win over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks shut down the Patriots' running backs to the tune of just 42 yards on 13 carries (3.1 YPC). Jones was instrumental in that effort, as he was all season. The 2021 third-round pick rung up 151 tackles (80 solo), 0.5 sacks, eight pass breakups and six interceptions through 18 games, including the postseason. Jones has two years left on his contract and will carry a team-friendly $11.0 million cap hit in 2026 as the Seahawks look to defend their title.

Unable to agree on an extension, the Rams dealt Jones to the Titans a couple weeks before last season. Jones didn't stay long in Tennessee before the Seahawks came calling Week 8. With Seattle, Jones remade a defense that had been particularly vulnerable to the run up the middle. He signed a three-year, $33 million contract to remain with Seattle this offseason and will pair with second-year linebacker Tyrice Knight as one of the most productive duos in the league. Jones' value is based nearly entirely on his ability to stop the run and stay on the field, so don't expect much additional production beyond tackles. He's also coming off knee surgery but is expected to be ready for training camp.
One of the more common refrains across sports is that growth isn't linear, but Jones defies that. He's increased both his snap count and tackle total in all three of his professional seasons. The Rams did plenty to bolster their defense through the draft, but none of the selections will affect Jones' role with the team. In addition to stopping the run, Jones expanded his role as a pass rusher significantly in 2023. After combining to record eight quarterback pressures in his first two seasons, he disrupted the passer 33 times last year. That leaves coverage as the only weakness in his profile, which does keep him off the field on the later downs. In turn, his ceiling is capped to a degree, but he can comfortably be projected for a ton of tackles and a handful of sacks once again.
The departure of Bobby Wagner leaves Jones as the Rams' incumbent top linebacker for a very inexperienced group. Jones made a big leap in his second season in 2022, notching 114 tackles (66 solo), two pass defenses, an interception and a forced fumble while playing in all 17 games. He'll need to continue improving to anchor a new-look defense in the coming campaign and likely will have another considerable bump in production that may look similar to Wagner's robust stat line (140 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions) if the L.A. has any hopes to field a competitive defense.
A 2021 third-rounder, Jones spent the start of his rookie campaign as a special teams performer before earning significant playing time down the stretch at left inside linebacker. With no notable competition behind him on the depth chart, the South Carolina product will have a full season to improve on last year's 61 tackles, two interceptions and one sack in 15 games.
Expect Jones to compete for playing time immediately at one of the Rams' inside linebacker spots. He led South Carolina in tackles the past two seasons before L.A. selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Jones boasts sound football acumen and is a solid wrap-up tackler. It's unlikely he emerges as a three-down linebacker at the highest level because of his low-end speed and athleticism, so his fantasy upside probably is capped.
