The cornerback produced 64 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, while also adding 11 pass defenses over 14 regular-season games in 2024. Last season marked the first one since 2019 in which Reed did not secure at least one interception, as he recorded six total picks over the four previous years. ANALYSIS
Reed was injured in last Sunday's win over the Browns and will now miss a minimum of four games. Currently, Rock Ya-Sin, Amik Robertson and Avonte Maddox are the Lions' only healthy cornerbacks, as Terrion Arnold (shoulder) and Khalil Dorsey (concussion) are also banged up. Reed will be eligible to return in Week 9 against the Commanders.

Reed has been remarkably consistent over the last three years, spanning his last season in Seattle and the first two seasons of his three-year contract with the Jets. The 27-year-old cornerback has posted 9-12 passes defensed and 76-80 tackles in each of those three seasons. Reed has developed into an excellent cover corner opposite Sauce Gardner, and their strong play on the outside coupled with Michael Carter's effectiveness in the slot has helped the Jets allow the fewest yards to wide receivers in each of the past two seasons.
