2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jones had the start of his NFL career derailed by a torn ACL, but a change of scenery in 2024, when he signed with Denver, revitalized his outlook. After never emerging as a full-time start in four seasons with Miami, Jones set a career high with 919 defensive snaps in his initial campaign with the Broncos. His breakout wasn't just a matter of expanded opportunity, as Jones delivered when he was on the field. He limited quarterbacks to a 63.7 passer rating, while surrendering only 5.98 yards per target. Jones wasn't asked to step into the box all that frequently, but he was still solid in run defense as well. The Broncos' addition of Talanoa Hufanga creates a moderate amount of risk of Jones losing snaps in 2025, but he clearly out-played P.J. Locke in 2024 and should enter training camp with the upper hand if there is a competition. Read Past Outlooks
Placed on IR
Jones (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones suffered a pectoral injury in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers, and he will now be forced to miss the final three games of the regular season and the team's first postseason contest. In his absence, Devon Key and P.J. Locke are the top candidates to take over as the team's primary free safety for the stretch run, beginning in Week 16 against the Jaguars.

Jones is entering his fifth year in the league as a new member of Denver's secondary after spending his first four seasons with the Dolphins. After signing a three-year deal with the Broncos, the 26-year-old is likely to operate as one of the Broncos' top safeties in 2024. Jones recorded 48 tackles (36 solo), four passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble in his final year in Miami, and he'll look to pick up where he left off in his new locale.
