Last season Rosa dealt with injuries that limited him to three games where he ran for a combined 48 yards on 9 carries. He already has 80 yards on the ground on 8 carries this season. Rosa is firmly parked behind UConn's lead back,Cam Edwards. But the redshirt junior could see more touches as running back Mel Brown (collarbone) is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks. The Huskies take on Ball State in the next contest, Saturday, Sept. 20. The Cardinals rush defense is in the bottom quarter of the nation, but they have faced Purdue and Auburn so far this season.
