                2025 Fantasy Outlook

2025 is undoubtedly a redemption season for Castellanos. He struggled and dealt with injuries last fall with Boston College and ultimately stepped away from the team in November, announcing his intentions to enter the portal. He's landed at Florida State for his senior season, where he'll look to help the Seminoles bounce back from a dreadful 2-10 finish last fall. Castellanos oozes talent as a dual-threat quarterback, though his running ability certainly flashes more than his passing. During the 2023 season, he racked up 1,113 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. Last fall, he was utilized much less in that department with just 194 yards and one score. Now, however, he's reunited with new Florida State offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, whom he initially committed to out of high school at UCF. Malzahn should be able to help maximize his skillset, and the Seminoles have done well to surround him with receiving weapons, reeling in two productive transfer receivers (Duce Robinson from USC and Squirrel White from Tennessee). The tight end room also has plenty of receiving promise with sophomore Landen Thomas and UCF transfer Randy Pittman. If anyone can highlight the best abilities of a quarterback and hide their flaws, it's Malzahn. It wouldn't be surprising to see a resurgence for Castellanos in 2025, potentially aiming for a season closer to what Nick Marshall deployed in his time under center when Malzahn was at Auburn. Probable for Saturday
Castellanos (undisclosed) is probable for Saturday's game versus Wake Forest, per the ACC availability report.
				  ANALYSIS
Castellanos, who is dealing with an injury that would've kept him out in Week 9 if not for a bye, is probable heading into Saturday's matchup. This comes one day after head coach Mike Norvell said that he was confident with the way Castellanos was trending. It's still not clear what injury he's dealing with, but he should be able to go versus Wake Forest.

        2024 Fantasy Outlook

Castellanos is set to be the Eagles' starting quarterback once again after an up-and-down 2023 campaign. The gunslinger played well early in the year, but became increasingly turnover-prone towards the end of the season, throwing just three touchdowns to seven interceptions the final four weeks of the season. All told, Castellanos tossed for 2,248 yards, 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while completing under 60 percent of his passes. The Eagles brought in Grayson James from FIU to add competition at quarterback, but Castellanos still figures to claim Boston College's starting role under center. He'll need to gel with two transfer receivers and a transfer tight end, but if he can find some consistency in his passing game and couple that with a similar rushing output from last season - 1,113 yards, 13 touchdowns - he could be one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the ACC.
