Samaj Jones News: Will get reps in Liberty Bowl

Jones will get reps in the Liberty Bowl alongside fellow backup Brady Lichtenberg, per Neil Meyer of Front Office Sports.

Cincinnati must pivot at quarterback in the Liberty Bowl against Navy on Jan. 2 after starter Brendan Sorsby announced he's both entering the transfer portal and testing the NFL Draft waters. That means Jones and Litchtenberg will both gets reps in the game, although head coach Scott Satterfield didn't specify how they would be divided. The redshirt freshman Jones completed two passes for 53 yards and a touchdown this season.
