                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Clowney recorded 46 regular-season appearances (20 starts) for the Nets in 2024-25 and didn't stand out. He posted averages of 9.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers on 35.8 percent shooting from the field. The 21-year-old experienced an uptick in his numbers compared to his rookie year, but the efficiency decreased dramatically. He figures to be a depth option in the frontcourt for the Nets in 2025-26 and could see time at either forward spot, but he's not likely to handle starter-level minutes and could struggle to reach the 25-30 minute mark on most games if the rotation is at full strength. Clowney could be a streaming option on favorable matchups in deeper formats, but other than that, he shouldn't carry a lot of fantasy upside across the board. Considering he'll compete for playing time with several other players behind Nic Claxton, Michael Porter and Day'Ron Sharpe, he seems to have a tough path to securing consistent minutes to make a valuable fantasy impact. Logs season-high 25 minutes
Clowney had seven points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and four rebounds in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-112 loss to the Hawks.
				  ANALYSIS
Clowney saw extended run Wednesday, likely as a result of Ziaire Williams (back) being ruled out for the game, but was unable to fully capitalize on the opportunity, only making one field goal in those 25 minutes. Williams' status is unclear for Sunday's matchup with Philadelphia, but if he is unable to play again, Clowney would again be an inheritor of those minutes.

2024 Fantasy Outlook

After an underwhelming start to his rookie season, Clowney thundered onto the standard league radar down the stretch. Over the final two weeks of the season, he managed to put up top-85 value in standard formats, averaging 12.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 three-pointers in 29.4 minutes per game. Following the offseason trade of Mikal Bridges, it appears as though the Nets could be ready to lean into a rebuild. Although they still have some veterans on the roster, they also have some intriguing young pieces to experiment with. Clowney fits that bill to perfection, providing Brooklyn with a floor-spacing rim protector who may have only scratched the surface when it comes to overall upside. A few questions remain regarding his exact role coming into the 2024-25 season, not least of which is whether he will start or come off the bench. Either way, it would make sense for the coaching staff to get him on the floor to see what the rotations look like. Managers should keep an eye on the projected rotation as the start of the season draws near. Should Clowney be headed for 25 minutes per game, he makes for a viable late-round flyer, even in standard leagues.

"It feels good to know that they believe in me to do that," Clowney said. "So for them to do that means they believe in me being some form of long-term piece. So, it feels good to know that." Clowney logged 20 minutes on Opening Night against Charlotte, but he hit just 1-of-6 shots for five points, four rebounds and two assists. He's expected to be a key reserve behind Michael Porter this season.
