                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Strawther produced a solid second NBA season for the Nuggets, averaging 9.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.4 three-pointers per game with a 43.2/34.9/82.2 shooting line across 65 regular-season appearances. He played 21.3 minutes per game, but that didn't translate to much fantasy value as he finished outside the top-300 in standard leagues on a per-game basis. Strawther will be entering his third year, but minutes will be much harder to come by this time around. The Nuggets brought back fan favorite Bruce Brown, and they also signed Tim Hardaway in free agency. Additionally, the team swapped Michael Porter for Cameron Johnson. All these moves could potentially push Stawther to the edge of the rotation, so it's hard to imagine him outperforming last season's marks while the team is at full strength. Logs 11 minutes in win
Strawther provided six points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 11 minutes during Wednesday's 122-88 victory over New Orleans.
				  ANALYSIS
Strawther logged a season-high 11 minutes, continuing what has been a quiet start for the score-first guard. Despite averaging a career-high 21.3 minutes during the 2024-25 season, it appears as though Strawther has slipped down the pecking order, likely as a result of the addition of Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway. At this point, Strawther seems destined to serve as a depth piece, rather than a meaningful part of the rotation.

2024 Fantasy Outlook

Strawther held a minor rotational role as a rookie, averaging 4.5 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game across 50 appearances. While known as a three-point specialist, Strawther shot 29.7 percent from deep on 2.8 attempts per game. None of that makes you think Strawther is trending toward a breakout in Year 2. However, that's not all of the equation. The Nuggets, who were reigning champs last year, had a tight backcourt rotation with Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter, Christian Braun, Justin Holiday and Reggie Jackson playing a majority of the minutes. Caldwell-Pope is in Orlando, Jackson signed with Philadelphia and Holiday remains a free agent, leaving a gaping hole in Denver's rotation. The Nuggets' only notable backcourt addition to replace those guys was Russell Westbrook, who's expected to operate as the primary backup to Murray. That leaves Strawther to compete with Braun for the starting shooting guard spot. Braun likely has the upper hand, as he was already a bigger part of the rotation last year, but Strawther's shooting ability would seemingly be a better fit with Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon down low. Strawther's floor is as low as it was in Year 1, but he has a clear path to playing time this season and could be the steal of the draft if he plays himself into a starting role.
