Best NBA Bets Today (Wednesday, Jan. 28)

Desmond Bane over 1.5 made threes (-160) at Miami Heat

BetMGM, 3:40 PM CT

Alex Barutha: Bane has performed well in three prior games against the Heat, averaging 3.3 made threes on 43.5 percent. I like him to have another strong performance, as Miami's defense is allowing 120.4 points per 48 minutes across the past 10 games (second-highest). Plus, they've allowed the fourth-most above-the-break threes (10.8) during this stretch. That's where Bane does a lot of his damage, with 4.1 of his 14.5 shot attempts over the past 10 games coming from above the break.

OG Anunoby over 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists at Toronto Raptors (-107)

DraftKings Sportsbook - 2:05 p.m.

Kirien Sprecher: Anunoby has failed to reach this mark in three of his past four appearances, including a tepid two-rebound, zero-assist outing against Sacramento on Tuesday. The veteran didn't need to overexert himself during the first half of the Knicks' back-to-back set, as New York cruised to victory against an inferior opponent. Anunoby is ripe for a bounce-back outing during the second half of a back-to-back set against the team that drafted him in 2017. He'll likely see increased offensive usage with Miles McBride (ankle) unavailable and elevated rebounding opportunities with Mitchell Robinson resting, plus Josh Hart (ankle) is questionable.

Jaylon Tyson over 15.5 points vs. Los Angeles Lakers (-125)

FanDuel, 3:41 PM CT

Nick Whalen: The Cavs are down both Evan Mobley and Darius Garland, and with that pairing off the court this season, Tyson sees a 5.5 percentage-point jump in usage rate, resulting in 6.3 more points per 36 minutes. Even with Mobley in the lineup over the last nine games, Tyson is averaging 18.1 PPG in that span.

Sam Hauser over 2.5 made threes vs. Atlanta Hawks (-143)

BetRivers, 3:41 PM CT

Nick Whalen: Hauser is taking 8.6 threes per game over his last 10 appearances and averaging just a shade under 4.0 makes per game in the month of January. The Hawks at near the top of the league in three-pointers allowed, while giving up 27 catch-and-shoot three-point attempts per game. When these teams met less than two weeks ago, they combined for 98 three-point attempts.

Moses Moody over 2.5 made threes (+106) at Utah Jazz

FanDuel, 3:30 PM CT

Alex Barutha: Moody has been shooting well lately, scoring double digits in eight straight games and making 3.5 triples at 52.8 percent. That should continue tonight, as the Jazz are allowing the most opponent made threes per 48 minutes across the past 10 games (18.0). A significant portion of those makes (4.2) have come from the left corner. During Moody's recent stretch, nine of his 28 makes overall have been from the left corner.

Toronto Raptors moneyline vs. New York Knicks (-125)

DraftKings, 3:41 PM CT

Nick Whalen: Toronto is coming off of a Western Conference road swing, but they capped that off on Sunday with a win over the Thunder, so they'll come into tonight with two full days of rest, while the Knicks are on the second night of a back-to-back. New York is 2-4 ATS on back-to-backs, 3-5 ATS with a rest disadvantage, and they're 6-15 ATS on the road this season.

Charlotte Hornets moneyline at Memphis Grizzlies (-130)

FanDuel, 3:41 PM CT

Nick Whalen: I'm starting to recklessly buy in on this recent Hornets renaissance, as they've emerged as the NBA's No. 1 offense and No. 5 defense over the last 10 games. In that span, they hold a +13.7 NET rating, compared to Memphis' -2.5 NET. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have struggled at home this season (9-13 ATS) and will again be without Ja Morant.
