                  Could be posted this offseason
Imai could be posted for major-league teams this offseason, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
                  Analysis
Imai, 27, has had a dominant 2025 season with the Seibu Lions of Nippon Professional Baseball, posting a 1.50 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 159:37 K:BB over 143.2 innings. He has a slight frame at 5-foot-11 and 154 pounds and has dealt with control problems in past seasons, but major-league clubs will be very interested in Imai if he is indeed posted. Passan hears that Imai -- who had around 20 major-league scouts at his last start -- could land a contract in the $150-200 million range.
