Jeremiah Jackson

26-Year-Old OutfielderOF
Baltimore Orioles
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Signed to a minor-league contract last offseason, Jackson got an opportunity to play regularly for the Orioles down the stretch of a forgettable 2025 season. The 26-year-old was a bright spot, putting up a .775 OPS and swatting five home runs over 48 games while seeing starts in right field and at third base. Jackson collected a robust .377/.400/.673 batting line with 11 home runs in 40 games during his time with Triple-A Norfolk last season, though that came just a year after he slashed an anemic .205/.245/.373 at the Mets' Double-A affiliate in Binghamton in 2024. The nice first impression at the plate Jackson made in Baltimore, along with the defensive versatility to play most spots on the diamond, should put him in the mix for a reserve role in 2026. That said, if the Orioles bounce back this season as they expect to, it's unlikely Jackson will play a significant role. Read Past Outlooks

Jackson went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-4 win over the Guardians.
Analysis
The Orioles were down 4-0 heading into the eighth inning -- a deficit created in part by Jackson's first error of the season -- but the 26-year-old utility player redeemed himself when he capped a six-run eruption by launching a Connor Brogdon fastball into the left-field seats. Jackson has five homers on the campaign and all of them have come in the last seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .429 (12-for-28) with two doubles, five runs and 13 RBI.

Stat Review
How does Jeremiah Jackson compare to other hitters?
This section compares his stats with all batting seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 400 plate appearances)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.

* Exit Velocity and Barrels/PA % are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 400 PA) and Hard Hit Rate is benchmarked against last season's data (min 400 PA). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2019
Jackson's profile is imperfect, but when a 19-year-old middle infielder hits 23 home runs in 65 games, people will take notice. That total tied the all-time single-season record for the hitter-friendly Pioneer League. The 57th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Jackson comes to the plate looking to do one thing: hit the ball over the outfield fence (33.0 K%, 28.2 GB%). He is a solid runner, but has not looked to run much thus far. Jackson may not stick at shortstop, but he will be a good defender at second base if that's where he ends up. His elite bat speed has allowed this all-or-nothing approach to work, but he could really flop this year against full-season pitching. If he doesn't struggle at Low-A, he will probably go through an adjustment period at High-A or Double-A. For those in dynasty leagues who don't want to deal with that type of volatility, this is a good opportunity to cash him out.
A bat-first middle infielder, Jackson received $1.194 million when the Angels selected him with the No. 57 pick in the 2018 draft. He is only 6-foot, 165 pounds, but had one of the quickest bats in the draft, and can already get to above-average power in games, ranking second in the AZL in ISO (.280) and fifth in wRC+ (164) before getting a promotion to the Pioneer League. While not a true burner, Jackson is a good athlete with above-average speed, as evidenced by his 10 steals on 12 attempts. It is not surprising, given his fast bat, that he was a little too pull-happy (Pull% over 50%) in his debut. Strikeouts were an issue in both leagues -- he compiled a 30.9 K% and 7.9 BB% -- but he could make more contact with reps and instruction. Jackson may not have enough glove for shortstop, but if he maxes out, the bat will play just fine at the keystone. His power/speed combo could yield appealing counting stats in his age-19 season at Low-A.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Poised for utility role?
OFBaltimore Orioles
October 14, 2025
Jackson's likeliest path to a roster spot in 2026 is as a utility player, reports Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com.
Analysis
The 25-year-old made his MLB debut in 2025 and performed well in 48 games, finishing with five homers and a .276/.328/.447 slash line in 183 plate appearances. There's no clear path to a starting role in 2026 if the Orioles are back to full health, but the departure of Ramon Urias at the trade deadline in July leaves the club with a utility role to fill. Jackson made starts at third base and in right field for Baltimore and also saw action at shortstop, second base and the other two outfield spots in the minor leagues, though the organization views him as more of a limited utility option rather than a super-utility player.
