Stat Review

How does Jeremiah Jackson compare to other hitters?

This section compares his stats with all batting seasons from the previous three seasons (minimum 400 plate appearances)*. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that stat and it would be considered average.
* Exit Velocity and Barrels/PA % are benchmarked against 2019 data (min 400 PA) and Hard Hit Rate is benchmarked against last season's data (min 400 PA). See here for more exit velocity/barrels stats plus an explanation of current limitations with that data set.

				2019
Jackson's profile is imperfect, but when a 19-year-old middle infielder hits 23 home runs in 65 games, people will take notice. That total tied the all-time single-season record for the hitter-friendly Pioneer League. The 57th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Jackson comes to the plate looking to do one thing: hit the ball over the outfield fence (33.0 K%, 28.2 GB%). He is a solid runner, but has not looked to run much thus far. Jackson may not stick at shortstop, but he will be a good defender at second base if that's where he ends up. His elite bat speed has allowed this all-or-nothing approach to work, but he could really flop this year against full-season pitching. If he doesn't struggle at Low-A, he will probably go through an adjustment period at High-A or Double-A. For those in dynasty leagues who don't want to deal with that type of volatility, this is a good opportunity to cash him out.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

                  Poised for utility role?
Jackson's likeliest path to a roster spot in 2026 is as a utility player, reports Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com.
                  Analysis
The 25-year-old made his MLB debut in 2025 and performed well in 48 games, finishing with five homers and a .276/.328/.447 slash line in 183 plate appearances. There's no clear path to a starting role in 2026 if the Orioles are back to full health, but the departure of Ramon Urias at the trade deadline in July leaves the club with a utility role to fill. Jackson made starts at third base and in right field for Baltimore and also saw action at shortstop, second base and the other two outfield spots in the minor leagues, though the organization views him as more of a limited utility option rather than a super-utility player.
