The Mariners have selected Morgan with the 74th pick in the 2014 first-year player draft.
                  Analysis
While certainly a sight to behold in batting practice, Morgan needs to work on making more consistent contact. That said, he easily has the raw power and arm strength to play right field for a major league club, so his selection makes perfect sense for a Mariners team largely devoid of outfield talent.

A second-round competitive balance pick (74th overall) in the 2014 draft, Morgan has the raw power and arm strength to play right field in the majors. The Mariners believed in him enough to sign him for $2 million. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Morgan did not fare well in rookie ball last season as an 18-year-old. Time is on his side, however.
