Traded from Baltimore to Miami in 2024, Stowers wasn't informed that he made the Marlins' 2025 Opening Day roster until the final days of spring training. He would go on to be the team's sole representative in the All-Star Game, slashing .288/.368/.544 with 25 homers and five steals across 457 total plate appearances before a left oblique strain put him on the injured list in August. Stowers began a rehab assignment in early September but had to pause it after just one game due to discomfort in his opposite side, a setback which ended his season. There is some lingering uncertainty given the injuries, and he had struggled with strikeouts prior to 2025, but Stowers tattooed the ball when healthy last season and projects as an everyday presence in the middle of the order for an improving Marlins offense.
