Johan Rojas

Rojas is very good at two things: playing center field and running fast. Everything else is... well, did I mention he's very good at playing center field and running fast? Rojas did show some promise with the bat during his rookie season in 2023 with a .771 OPS in 59 games, but in 191 games and 535 plate appearances since then, he's slashed .237/.279/.312 with bottom-of-the-barrel quality of contact. The 25-year-old is 51-for-58 in stolen-base attempts at the big-league level, and there has been a scenario where his defense was so good that he'd play enough to rack up steals. Rojas' bat has been so inept, though, that it's unlikely he'll ever become more than a defensive replacement/pinch runner. Read Past Outlooks
