Ezatolahi was impressive defensively with two blocks, four clearances and two tackles and came agonisingly close to being the hero in the final minutes when his shot struck the woodwork and denied Iran a valuable result. He ends the tournament without a goal despite taking six shots, a bitter note for a player who contributed so much defensively with six tackles, seven interceptions and eight clearances across the group stage.
