Podium in Spielberg
Formula One
June 28, 2026
Antonelli finished third in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on Sunday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
The young Mercedes driver would go off track three times in turn 1 and turn 3 in the first two laps. It was a terrible start to Antonelli's day in Austria. However, he would regroup and recover. Coming from P5 on hard tyres in his second stint, Antonelli would set a great pace. That would allow him to climb back up to P3 and even challenge Max Verstappen in the closing laps for P2. Antonelli would fall short in that effort but still make the podium in P3 by the checkered flag.
