First Podium Since 2023
Rahal finished a season-high third in Sunday's Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix IndyCar Series race at Barber Motorsports Park, his first podium result since the Indianapolis road course in 2023.
ANALYSIS
It was a throwback performance for Rahal, who qualified third and managed to maintain track position throughout Sunday's race. He even had a chance to finish second after a late pit-road miscue from Christian Lundgaard, but Rahal was unable to hold off the Arrow McLaren driver. He now has two Top-10 finishes this season, with the series next heading to Long Beach, where he has one career IndyCar podium but has finished outside of the Top 10 in four of the past five races.
