Sam Dickinson

There’s no question Dickinson has potential. He showed that during the 2024-25 campaign, recording 29 goals and 91 points in 55 regular-season outings with OHL London before adding another nine goals and 31 points across 17 playoff appearances. However, potential alone doesn’t guarantee the 19-year-old a spot on San Jose’s 2025-26 blue line. He’ll certainly get a long look during training camp, but the Sharks added veteran defensemen Dmitry Orlov, Nick Leddy and John Klingberg over the summer, which diminishes the chances of Dickinson making the team. He’s worth keeping an eye on, but don’t be surprised if he gets limited or no use in the NHL this campaign. Read Past Outlooks
