2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sergachev was traded to Utah last offseason after spending nine years with Tampa Bay. The smooth-skating blueliner registered a career-high 15 goals and added 38 helpers over 77 appearances in 2024-25. He was far and away Utah’s clear-cut No. 1 defenseman, as he skated on the first pairing and quarterbacked the top power-play unit. The Mammoth have an influx of young talent on the rise, so Sergachev is in a good spot to provide high-end fantasy value in 2025-26. He’s in his prime and might have the ability to get back to the 60-point mark for the second time in his career. On the other hand, one potential red flag for Sergachev’s outlook this season is his shooting percentage last season was 11.4 percent -- that number was a five-percent increase from his career average of 6.4, so he may be hard-pressed to reach the 15-goal mark again. Still out Monday
Sergachev (lower body) is not available for Monday's game in Chicago, according to the NHL media site.
ANALYSIS
Sergachev is set to miss his third consecutive game. Monday's matchup is the first half of a back-to-back for the Mammoth, so the team is seemingly being very cautious with Sergachev, who was a late scratch for Saturday's contest in Columbus. Utah promoted Maksymilian Szuber from the minors prior to Monday's game to provide depth on the blue line.

After seven seasons playing for the Lightning, including a pair of Stanley Cup championships, Sergachev is headed for Salt Lake City following his trade to Utah HC. The move comes following an injury-plagued 2023-24 campaign that saw the offensively-gifted blueliner log just 34 regular-season contests. In those outings, the 26-year-old Russian managed two goals and 17 helpers while recording seven power-play points. Stuck behind Victor Hedman while with Tampa Bay, Sergachev should finally be able to fully take over the No. 1 power-play role with his new team. Assuming he can stay healthy, Sergachev should be capable of hitting the 30-point threshold for the seventh time in his career while also potentially challenging for his career-high 2022-23 numbers that saw him rack up 10 goals and 54 helpers.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Plans for more offensive work
Sergachev said Wednesday that he plans to be more involved offensively during the 2025-26 season, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Sergachev had one of his best offensive seasons of his career during his first year in Utah in 2024-25, recording 15 goals and 38 assists to go with 140 blocked shots, 61 hits and 32 PIM while averaging a career-high 25:07 of ice time. He indicated Wednesday that he doesn't necessarily intend to take more risks during the 2025-26 campaign, but he hopes to be more of an offensive-minded player. He also averaged a career-high 3:19 of ice time with the man advantage last season, and it seems as though he'll continue to be heavily involved on the power play this year.
