                2025 Fantasy Outlook

After being limited to 66 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season, Stone missed the final game of Vegas’ playoff run due to an upper-body injury. His 66 appearances represented his highest total since the 2018-19 campaign, but staying healthy remains an issue for the 33-year-old forward. He has been productive when he’s been in the lineup, as he had 19 goals, 67 points and 131 shots in the 2024-25 regular season before adding four tallies and four assists across 10 postseason outings, but he doesn’t contribute much in other categories. When healthy, Stone plays a key role for the Golden Knights, both at even strength and with the man advantage, and he’s displayed point-per-game upside before, but he’s a risky selection in fantasy leagues due to health concerns. Placed on long-term injured reserve
Stone (wrist) was placed on long-term injured reserve Thursday, per PuckPedia.
				  ANALYSIS
Stone was injured Oct. 18, and the move to long-term injured reserve gives the Golden Knights extra cap space. Stone was off to a great start with two goals and 11 assists in only six games, and he is still tied for second in NHL scoring, three points behind teammate Jack Eichel.

Stone missed the final 26 regular-season games of the 2023-24 campaign due to a lacerated spleen. He returned for the start of the playoffs, collecting three goals in seven outings against Dallas in Vegas' first-round exit. During the regular season, Stone compiled 16 goals, 53 points and 117 shots on net in 56 appearances. He has missed significant playing time in three consecutive seasons, playing in only 136 of 246 games during that span. Stone's back issues have been well-documented, making him a risky fantasy option despite his upside. If he can stay relatively healthy, potential fantasy managers can expect 60-plus points.

				  Unlikely to play Monday?
Stone didn't participate in Monday's morning skate after leaving Saturday's 6-1 win over Calgary due to an undisclosed injury, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
				  ANALYSIS
Being absent from the morning skate doesn't bode well for Stone's availability to play in Monday's matchup against Carolina. He has been excellent to begin the 2025-26 campaign, compiling two goals and 11 assists through six appearances.
