2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sandin Pellikka looks set to be ready for North American hockey in 2025-26, but it would be a long shot to expect him to jump straight into the Red Wings' lineup. He put up 29 points in 46 regular-season games with Skelleftea AIK of the SHL and added 10 points in seven contests for Sweden at the World Junior Championship. He's still just 20 years old, and as impressive as his numbers are, he'll still need some more development time, whether that's in the AHL with Grand Rapids or in his native Sweden on loan again. Sandin-Pellikka was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Sandin-Pellikka has been a healthy scratch for seven straight games, and he will probably get into a game or two at the AHL level. However, it's unclear if he will return to the NHL immediately afterward. He has accounted for six goals, 19 points, 62 shots on net and 51 blocked shots across 63 appearances with the Red Wings this season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Unlikely to make Opening Night team
Sandin Pellikka is not expected to be on the Red Wings' Opening Night roster, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Sandin Pellikka is an offensively gifted blueliner, but he still needs to work on his play in his own zone. The 20-year-old is expected to play with AHL Grand Rapids this year after playing on loan with Skelleftea AIK of the SHL in 2024-25, where he had 29 points in 46 games in his age-19 campaign. If he starts well at Grand Rapids, he should be able to push some of the third-pairing veterans like Erik Gustafsson, Justin Holl or Travis Hamonic for a roster spot later in 2025-26.
