2025 Fantasy Outlook
Turcotte finally established himself at the NHL level in 2024-25, earning 25 points in 68 appearances while averaging 11:44 of ice time. The 24-year-old forward was scratched for three of six playoff games, so he's still not fully trusted in high-pressure scenarios, but it looks like he'll be capable of playing at least a bottom-six role moving forward. Turcotte's game is all skill, so he won't offer a lot in the way of physicality for fantasy managers. He'll need more ice time to push into the range of being an effective depth forward, and most fantasy managers can wait and see if he makes any gains early in 2025-26. Turcotte should push for 10-15 goals and 30-plus points this year, especially if he can secure a spot on the Kings' third line or even higher in the lineup. Read Past Outlooks
Available for Game 1
Turcotte (undisclosed) has been cleared to play ahead of Sunday's road clash against the Avalanche in Game 1, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
ANALYSIS
Turcotte missed eight consecutive games to close out the regular season, but will be available for the Kings' first-round playoff series opener. He was cleared for action Saturday alongside Jeff Malott (undisclosed) and Andrei Kuzmenko (knee), but all three likely won't be in the lineup together. Across 62 regular-season games in 2025-26, Turcotte had three goals, 14 points, 67 shots on net, 51 hits and 33 blocked shots.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2020
2019
Although Turcotte was selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, the 23-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the NHL. He logged 20 regular-season contests with LA last season, recording one goal and four points while averaging just 9:17 of ice time. On the plus side, he did look good with AHL Ontario, providing 10 goals and 29 points across 35 regular-season appearances. With Pierre-Luc Dubois gone, there's an opportunity for Turcotte to earn a middle-six role with the Kings out of training camp. Turcotte isn't a great option to draft in standard fantasy leagues, but there's still enough potential there to make him worth keeping an eye on.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set to compete for roster spot
Turcotte, who signed a three-year contract Saturday, is expected to be a serious contender for an Opening Night roster spot with the Kings, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
ANALYSIS
Turcotte's newly inked deal is two-way for the 2024-25 campaign, which means he will be paid less if he ends up in the minors. However, it becomes a one-way agreement in 2025-26 and 2026-27, which speaks to the Kings' confidence that he's not far off from being a mainstay at the NHL level. During the 2023-24 regular season, the 23-year-old had 29 points across 35 outings with AHL Ontario and four points in 20 games with LA.
