2026 Fantasy Outlook
It's difficult to find many golfers whose stock took at much of a hit as Kim's did in 2025. He managed just three top-25s and a best result of T7 across 26 starts to finish 105th on the points list, but he'll still have full status having won twice in the 2022-23 season. The ball-striking numbers were quite alarming for the 23-year-old, as he ranked outside of the top 100 in distance and accuracy, 142nd in SG: Off-the-Tee and 167th in GIR. The bright side is that the short game is still in good shape, he's very young and has shown a high ceiling with four Tour wins and mulitple top-10s in majors. With that said, Kim has given fantasy players plenty of reasons to be pessimistic that he's suddenly going to find things again in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
Wins Genesis Scottish Open
Kim posted a 17-under cumulative score at the Genesis Scottish Open to win the tournament by two strokes over Min Woo Lee.
ANALYSIS
It's the fourth PGA Tour victory of Kim's career and first since the 2023 Shriners Children's Open. In doing so, he became the fourth non-American to win four PGA Tour events before the age of 25, joining elite company in Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia and Hideki Matsuyama, per Golfweek. Kim spent most of the tournament at the top of the leaderboard thanks to his five-under 65 opening round and entered Sunday in the top-5. He saved his best round for last, steadily carding birdies en route to a bogey-free, six-under 64 to leap the likes of Robert MacIntyre and Matt Fitzpatrick to the top of the table. Kim's short game really stood out, converting on 12 of 13 scrambling opportunities to lead the field at The Renaissance Club, which minimized his mistakes (his three bogeys were the lowest of the tournament). His iron game was also superb, as he finished second in the field in SG: Approach, gaining 8.13 strokes in that category. He also ranked T2 in GIR, ninth in SG: Off-the-Tee, T11 in birdies made and in the top-20 in both driving accuracy and SG: Putting. Kim has the wind behind his sails heading into The Open Championship next week, where he finished T2 in 2023 before missing the cut in each of the last two years.

2024
2023
After racking up nearly $8 million in the 2022-23 season, Kim barely topped $4 million in the 2024 campaign and failed to reach the top-50 in the FedExCup. That means he is not going to be exempt for all of the Signature Events in 2025, but he's got a good chance to play his way in or receive an invite from a sponsor. Kim had just two top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour last season, a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and a runner-up at the Travelers Championship. The 22-year-old had largely similar SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Around-the-Green rankings the last two seasons, but he was significantly off in both SG: Approach and SG: Putting in 2024. Expect Kim to bounce back and find better results in 2025.
