2026 Fantasy Outlook
Kim has been the model of consistency on the PGA Tour since joining in 2016. Though he doesn't play quite as much as he used to, he's still good for 25+ events each season, often nearning 30 by year's end. Kim posted wins in each of his first two years on tour and while he hasn't won as much over the past eight seasons, the production remains at a high level. The only concern with Kim is that his numbers have been trending down over the past two seasons. He's earned around $4 million in each of those seasons, but that's a drop from over $5 million in 2023. Kim was missing the high-end finishes this past season, but his top-25s reached a career high with 14 in 2025. As long as he keeps giving himself a chance to win, the high-end finishes should come back. As such, he makes for an interesting salary cap candidate this season. Read Past Outlooks
Share of ninth in Scotland
Kim recorded an 11-under cumulative score at the Genesis Scottish Open to finish tied with Victor Perez for ninth.
ANALYSIS
Kim made the cut by one stroke following a three-under 67 in the second round, but he steadily rose up the leaderboard over the weekend thanks to back-to-back, four-under 66 scores. It was the ninth top-10 of the season for Kim, three of which have come over his last five outings, including solo second at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in May. His 21 birdies and 71.2 percent driving accuracy were both tied for best in the field at The Renaissance Club, and he also ranked 12th in SG: Around, 19th in SG: Approach and 21st in SG: Putting. Kim will tee off next week at The Open Championship, where he's missed the cut in four of seven previous outings, including last year at Royal Portrush and in his debut in 2017 at Royal Birkdale, the venue of this year's Open.

Kim was consistent last season going 22-for-25 with 12 top-25 finishes, but he only had three top-10 finishes, down from the five he had in 2022-23. There's certainly a lot to like with Kim's game ranking top-20 in driving accuracy and SG: Approach. He has also always had a great short game, but putting remains an issue. Kim was 140th in SG: Putting in 2024 and has never had a season where he's finished inside the top-100 in that category. Kim's ball-striking will give him a pretty safe floor, but he needs more good putting weeks if he wants to rack up more high finishes and get closer to some of the top players in earnings.
