Olesen posted a five-under 67 during the final round of the Turkish Airlines Open on the DP World Tour to finish tied with Ewen Ferguson and Darius van Driel for fourth.

Olesen ended up finishing three strokes back of winner Mikael Lindberg, and the former would have been in contention for his first DP World Tour win had it not been for two double bogeys in the opening round that led to a two-under 70 score. Olesen's score in the final round was tied for one of the best in the day, which included three birdies over the final six holes. He led the field in SG: Around-the-Green while ranking third in driving accuracy, fifth in scrambling and ninth in SG: Tee-to-Green, though he was near the bottom of the field in both SG: Approach and GIR.
