2025 Projections
Deal to SF finalized
Huff was traded from the Eagles to the 49ers on Monday in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in 2026, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This deal has been in the works for several days, but it could not be finalized until the new league year, which began June 1. Huff has seen the field primarily as a rotational pass rusher with both the Jets and Eagles, and he should fill a similar role with the 49ers while pairing with Dee Winters and Nick Martin. A return to his career-best mark of 10.0 sacks looks unlikely, but he should have more expanded opportunity than in 2024 as a member of the Eagles.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
After recording a combined 7.5 sacks across his first three seasons in the NFL, Huff broke out with 10 sacks in his final year before free agency, earning him a three-year, $51.5 million deal with the Eagles. Not bad for a player who went undrafted. In fact, it's the largest contract for an undrafted non-QB in league history. The Eagles have a need for more pass rushing, as they dropped to 20th in the league in sacks last year and dealt Haason Reddick and his 11 sacks away to the Jets, which is Huff's former team.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be in store for rebound
Huff appears poised for a bounce-back campaign after being traded to the 49ers on Monday, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old edge rusher is coming off a disappointing statistical season with the Eagles in which he managed only 2.5 sacks over 12 regular-season games, and none in two playoff appearances as Philadelphia marched to a Super Bowl win. Huff racked up a career-high 10.0 sacks in 2023 with the Jets, however, a team coached by Robert Saleh, who will now be his defensive coordinator in San Francisco. He joins a Niners pass rush that got significant reinforcements in the 2025 Draft, including 11th overall pick Mykel Williams.
