Locke, a freshman, was making his collegiate debut. Obviously, that wasn't the plan. Mettauer was only starting because Hunter Watson (undisclosed) was out. While Locke comported himself well, it seems unlikely he will jump to the top of the depth chart if everybody is healthy.
