2026 Tournament PreviewFor the second year in a row, advanced metrics place the Blue Devils among the top teams of this era of college hoops. Duke sports the elusive KenPom Net Rating above 40, while also checking in at No. 1 in the NET and No. 1 in WAB (Wins Above Bubble). Leading the way on both ends of the court is future NBA Lottery pick Cameron Boozer (22.6 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 4.0 apg), who gets help from twin brother Cayden in the backcourt, as well as returnees Patrick Ngongba (10.7 pg, 6.0 rpg) and Isaiah Evans (14.6 ppg). Collectively, Duke's 14 Quad 1 wins are the top mark in the nation, and that includes a signature win over likely fellow No. 1 seed Michigan. If there's any knock on this team, it's experience. The rotation is composed almost entirely of freshman and sophomores, leading to a ranking outside the top-300 in KenPom's D-1 experience metric. But inexperience alone shouldn't stop you from penciling in the Blue Devils for their second straight Final Four. If defense wins championships, then Duke is your pick, as Jon Scheyer's squad sports the best defensive efficiency ranking in the country (per KenPom).
