2026 Tournament PreviewComing off their first Big 12 regular season title, Tommy Lloyd and Arizona are in the midst of their best season since his 33-win debut year in 2021-22. Towering forwards Motiejus Krivas (10.8 ppg, 8.2 rpg), Ivan Kharchenkov (9.8 ppg, 4.1 rpg) and Tobe Awaka (9.6 ppg, 9.6 rpg) attack and defend the basket relentlessly, earning the team a top-5 ranking in both offensive and defensive two-point FG percentage. Big 12 Player of the Year Jaden Bradley (13.9 ppg, 4.5 apg) gives the Wildcats experience to lean on, but the real X-factor is a pair of NBA-caliber freshmen in Brayden Burries (15.5 ppg) and Koa Peat (13.3 ppg). Peat came out hot with a 30-point performance in a season-opening win over Florida, and while he's been slowed by a lower-leg injury down the stretch, he should be fully cleared for March. Burries didn't start as fast, but has five 20-plus point games since the calendar turned to 2026. If there's any concern, it's simply the fact that Lloyd has yet to take the Wildcats past the Sweet 16 in his first four seasons, but the tools are certainly here to snap that trend.
