                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Brunson has averaged at least 24 points, six assists and two made three-pointers per game in each of his first three seasons in New York. In 2024-25, the lefty point guard dropped below 40 percent from deep for the first time as a Knick, but he still made 38.3 percent of 6.1 three-point attempts per game. He's also shot at least 48 percent from the field in five straight seasons and remains one of the most efficient high-usage point guards in the league. Brunson dished out a career-high 7.3 assists per game last season, thanks in large part to the addition of Karl-Anthony Towns. The new pick-and-roll duo was fantastic in Year 1 and figures only to get better as Brunson and Towns spend more time on the court together. Tom Thibodeau loved to play his starters as long as possible, but he was ousted after a disappointing loss to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, so Brunson, along with his teammates, may see slightly reduced workloads under new head coach Mike Brown. Regardless, Brunson is the clear offensive leader in New York and should remain a top-20 producer even if he's on the bench for a few more minutes every night. While Brunson consistently delivers second-round value when available, he's missed double-digit games in four of his first seven seasons, including 17 regular-season absences in 2024-25, which drops his ADP into the third round. 36 points not enough
Brunson recorded 36 points (14-25 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 121-111 loss to the Bucks.
				  ANALYSIS
Brunson continued his strong start to the season, scoring at least 30 points for the third straight game. While the production was certainly more than adequate, the bigger talking point came late in the game when he appeared to hurt his groin. The incident happened whilst being defended by Giannis Antetokounmpo, causing the Knicks to call a timeout. He was able to play out the game, but this is definitely a situation to monitor moving forward.

After a strong first season in New York, Brunson took another step forward in 2023-24 and averaged a career-high 28.7 points per game en route to leading the shorthanded Knicks to the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. He appeared in 77 regular-season games but fractured his hand during New York's Game 7 loss to Indiana in the playoffs. He underwent surgery and is expected to be fully available for training camp. However, Brunson's fantasy value may look different in 2024-25. For one, OG Anunoby is expected to be fully healthy, which should take some of the offensive burden off Brunson's shoulders. The Knicks also traded for Mikal Bridges this offseason, adding another multi-talented player to a wing corps that includes Josh Hart and Miles McBride. Lastly, New York made another blockbuster trade before trading camp, sending Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle to Minnesota for Karl-Anthony Towns. Despite all of that, Brunson is still the heart and soul of the new-look Knicks and should continue to reap the statistical benefits of that role. Brunson has finished inside the top 50 in eight-category leagues in three straight campaigns, including a career-high 18th-place finish last season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

				  Considered untouchable
Brunson is considered untouchable in trade talks, Sam Amick of The Athletic reported Friday.
				  ANALYSIS
"Team sources have made it clear that Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson was, as expected, untouchable in these talks," Amick said of the Knicks being linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo. "In terms of possible players being involved, the common sense lens turns toward Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson from there." While talks between the Bucks and Knicks didn't gain much traction over the offseason, New York will likely be right back in the conversation if Antetokounmpo expresses a desire to be traded.
