Gordon did not make the Rockies' Opening Day roster, but he did see three major-league starts in May and posted a 4.24 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 17 innings before landing on the IL due to an oblique strain. He logged a quality start in his return after the All-Star break but proceeded to go on a disastrous three-game stretch in which he yielded 24 runs (23 earned) across 10.1 innings, and that span greatly inflated his 6.33 ERA (across 75.1 major-league innings) at the end of the season. One thing going for Gordon is his low walk percentage, but he ranked near the bottom of qualified pitchers across most statistical categories including xERA (5.88) and xBA (.294).
