Manages first hold Tuesday
Banks picked up a hold Tuesday versus the Nationals, allowing one run on three hits and no walks in 1.2 innings.
Analysis
The Phillies were working with a three-run lead when Banks entered, so Banks was able to hang on for his first hold of the season. The southpaw had a relatively long leash against a lefty-heavy Washington lineup, tossing 37 pitches Tuesday, which suggests Philadelphia is comfortable assigning Banks to record more than three outs if the situation calls for it.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May be moved
Banks is a candidate to be traded by the White Sox ahead of Tuesday's deadline, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN.com.
Analysis
Banks has been unable to replicate the 3.06 ERA he posted as a rookie in 2022, but he's still been a solid reliever for Chicago over the past two seasons. The left-hander has a 4.24 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 52:15 K:BB across 46.2 innings this season, but a 3.29 xERA and 3.50 xFIP indicate he may deserve some better results. Banks isn't eligible for his first year of arbitration until 2026, but the White Sox likely won't have any major qualms about dealing a 32-year-old bullpen arm with multiple years of team control.
