2026 Fantasy Outlook
Crisantes is a hit-first second baseman who has already had multiple arm surgeries including early-2025 shoulder surgery that limited him to 34 games last year. He had an excellent 2024 season, logging a 144 wRC+ across rookie ball and Single-A. Crisantes slashed .252/.358/.415 with four home runs, six steals and more walks (13.9 BB%) than strikeouts (12.6 K%) prior to his injury at High-A. He was unlucky on balls in play (.257 BABIP) and was still 11 percent better than league average. In the field, Crisantes' fringe-average arm will prevent him from being a high-end defender, and he could slide to first base/designated hitter. Such a move would put a lot of pressure on Crisantes' bat. If it all works out, he'll master his current air-pull approach and hit 20-plus homers while logging high-end ratios at second base. Rejoining Amarillo lineup
Double-A Amarillo reinstated Crisantes (hamstring) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Analysis
Crisantes is set to make his 2026 debut for Amarillo after a hamstring injury kept him out for most of the first two months of the minor-league season. The 21-year-old infielder was cleared to return to action for the Double-A club after he went 5-for-20 with two home runs, a double and six walks across seven rehab games between the Diamondbacks' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate and High-A Hillsboro.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Crisantes has put up exceptional hit-tool related metrics in the lower levels of the minors, but he doesn't have huge raw power or above-average foot speed. A 6-foot second baseman who turned 20 in September, Crisantes hit .341/.429/.492 with seven homers, 30 steals, a 12.5 percent walk rate and a 15.7 percent strikeout rate in 92 games split between the Arizona Complex League and Single-A. There are no notable public scouting reports that give Crisantes better than 50-grade speed, and even one of his more glowing scouting reports (Baseball America) gave him 45-grade speed, so don't overvalue him based on his 30 steals in 2024. It's possible he's going to be a Jose Ramirez type who consistently outperforms his pure physical tools and makes his prospect scouting report look laughable in hindsight, but it's probably more likely that his output levels off against more advanced pitching and he ends up being a useful but not extraordinary fantasy second baseman in a few years.
