                  Analysis
Brogdon posted a 5.55 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 47 innings with the Angels this season -- both career worsts among seasons he pitched at least 40 frames. He should be able to land another contract during the offseason, though he doesn't project to serve as anything more than bullpen depth in 2026.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

    2022
				2021
Brogdon impressed in his tiny sample of 11.1 innings in 2020, with his 3.97 ERA coming with a 38.6 K%. That gave him an outside shot of moving to the back of a very unreliable Philadelphia bullpen if he produced similar numbers in 2021. While he did pick up his first career save, he was never a real threat to close games and finished as a competent but rather ordinary reliever. His K% plummeted all the way to a below-average 21.3%, well below his 2020 numbers as well as his 32.1% career mark in the minors. He did at least improve his BB% from 11.4 to 7.7 and his groundball rate from 36.4% to 44.2%, but there's not much to get excited about here, and his 3.43 ERA looks like a bit of an overachievement, aided by his .256 BABIP. He should remain a useful part of the Phillies' bullpen in 2022 but needs a big step forward to have a shot at the closer role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

                  Possible trade candidate?
Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia listed Brogdon as a potential trade candidate this spring since he's not guaranteed a roster spot and has no remaining minor-league options.
                  Analysis
The right-hander was a solid bullpen piece for Philadelphia in 2021 and 2022 with a 3.36 ERA in 103 outings, but he scuffled last summer and spent the last four months of the campaign in the minors. Brogdon has given up one run through three appearances in spring training, but he's walked four batters compared to one strikeout. His past success may not be enough to secure a spot in the Phillies' Opening Day bullpen, but he'd likely have an opportunity elsewhere, regardless of whether his current club looks for a trade or exposes him to waivers.
