2026 Fantasy Outlook
Bradford's 2025 campaign was derailed before it began, however, as he suffered an elbow injury during spring training which required an internal brace procedure in late June. He pitched well in 2024, however, winning six of his 13 starts with a 3.54 ERA and 1.01 WHIP while holding the league to a .218 average. Bradford made up with command and guile that he lacks in velocity and his fastball/changeup duo led the charge. The 18.5% K-BB% shows what we saw was real, but the added ingredient of the internal brace clouds expectations for 2026 given the recent history of pitchers coming back from the surgery. Bradford's long-term prognosis looks better than his 2026 outlook because he is unlikely to start the season on time, and even if he does, his command may not be as sharp given the long layoff due to recovering from surgery. Analysis
Bradford has been working his way back from an internal brace procedure and made his first rehab start April 3, but his second outing has since been delayed, and his move to the 60-day IL suggests he isn't close to returning. He'll remain sidelined until at least late May, and he'll give up his place on the 40-man roster to help make room for the promotions of Cal Quantrill and Gavin Collyer.

Bradford made the Rangers' Opening Day rotation last season only because Michael Lorenzen signed late and needed time to get built up. The lefty held a 1.40 ERA in his first three starts but then missed the next 16 weeks due to a stress fracture in his rib cage. He returned to post a 3.60 ERA and 51:10 K:BB over 55 frames in 10 starts from August on, setting himself up to be a cog in the Texas rotation in 2025. Bradford averaged less than 90 mph with his fastball in 2024, but hitters can't square the pitch up. The offering netted a plus-11 Run Value and .280 xwOBA, and it might only be his second-best pitch behind his changeup. Bradford's strikeout rate is merely adequate, but his pristine control makes him a great WHIP bet and he routinely pitched deep into games in 2024 because he was so efficient. The 27-year-old could prove to be a nice value toward the end of drafts.
