2026 Fantasy Outlook
Nunez was dealt to the Orioles by the Mets in late July as part of the return for Cedric Mullins. The 24-year-old has yet to make his big-league debut, but he's on the cusp of doing so after an impressive 2025 campaign that saw him progress to Triple-A Norfolk. Between three levels, the 6-foot-3 righty produced a 2.21 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 83:25 K:BB across 57 innings. Nunez mixes fives pitches fairly equally including a cutter and pair of mid-90's fastballs, but his slider and changeup have yielded the best results. Analysis
Despite being optioned to the minors back on March 8, Nunez will end up joining the Orioles ahead of Opening Day after a spot opened up with Keegan Akin (groin) landing on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Nunez has yet to make his MLB debut but pitched effectively out of the Norfolk bullpen last season after he was acquired in a trade with the Mets last July. Over 16 appearances for Norfolk, Nunez posted a 3.45 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB across 15.2 innings.
